“Virtual Rescue Experience”
Achtrex and partners at the Genoa International Boat Show
Tomorrow marks the close of the 66th Genoa International Boat Show. As an innovation technology partner, Achtrex is collaborating on the Virtual Rescue Experience, a virtual reality and spatial simulator that transforms maritime rescue training into a realistic, immersive, and highly educational experience.
Once the VR headset is put on, users take command of a Coast Guard rescue vessel and are virtually transported into an emergency scenario on the open sea. They take control of the rescue unit, navigate high-swell telemetry, and execute life-saving operations with millimeter-accurate physics.
The initiative combines spatial computing, real-time physics engines, and ergonomic human-machine interaction to demonstrate how modern digital systems directly enhance frontline emergency preparedness.
